Steve Blake leads with a calm, practical approach grounded in real-world experience across law, accounting, and business leadership. After earning his law degree from Indiana University in 2000, he began his career as a tax attorney, then transitioned into public accounting before serving as a Chief Financial Officer. Following several years in industry leadership, he returned to public practice to focus on delivering hands-on advisory and tax services.

At Evans May Advisory, Steve works closely with business owners, nonprofits, and individuals to provide thoughtful, strategic tax guidance that’s easy to understand and put into action. His experience spans a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, construction, retail, and not-for-profits—as well as dealerships of all kinds.

Clients value Steve’s steady hand, clear thinking, and ability to cut through complexity. He’s committed to building strong relationships and delivering white-glove service with the level of detail Evans May Advisory is known for. His ultimate goal is simple: to help clients reach their goals with clarity and confidence.

Outside of work, Steve enjoys traveling with his family and hiking in new places. He’s explored nearly every U.S. state, much of Canada, and several European countries. While raising his kids, he coached youth sports across a variety of teams and age levels, experiences he still considers some of his most rewarding. Today, he finds joy in exploring new trails, gaining new perspectives, and making memories on the move.
