Elizabeth E. Evans is a Managing Partner of Evans May Wealth.
Prior to transitioning Evans May Wealth to an independent firm, Lizzie was a Senior Vice President at Merrill Lynch where she and partner, Brooke V. May, managed $750 million for 225 families. While at Merrill Lynch, Lizzie was consistently ranked in the top quintile of financial advisors nationwide. She was most recently featured in Forbes Magazine’s Best-in-State Wealth Advisors in January 2019 and Forbes America’s Top Women Wealth Advisors in April 2019*.
Lizzie holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, which is awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., and enables her to take a planning-oriented approach to wealth management.
Previous to Merrill Lynch, Lizzie worked in private equity and sell-side consulting. She graduated cum laude from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. A 2019 Make-A-Wish honoree, Lizzie is also a member of Tabernacle Presbyterian church and has served on the board of directors at the Columbia Club. She and her husband, Ian Flanagan, live with their son in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Brooke V. May first joined the financial services industry in 2000. She held wealth advisory roles in New York and Florida before returning to her hometown of Indianapolis in 2006.
Today she is a Managing Partner of Evans May Wealth, working alongside Elizabeth Evans and their in-house team to provide comprehensive wealth guidance to a select group of clients. Brooke holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., as well as a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University. Her industry experience and planning expertise enable her to deliver highly customized wealth advice, with a specialized focus on planning for and living in retirement. She was most recently featured in Forbes Magazine's Best-in-State Wealth Advisors in January 2019 and Forbes America’s Top Women Wealth Advisors in April 2019*.
Brooke and her family live in Indianapolis. She sits on the board of directors at Indy Premier Soccer Club and is a 2019 Make-A-Wish honoree.
Ian is a Managing Partner of Evans May Wealth and has worked in the financial services industry since 2007.
Prior to joining Evans May Wealth as a Managing Partner, Ian was a Managing Director with KPMG LLP, where he was responsible for structuring and closing multi-billion-dollar private investments in public infrastructure.
In addition to managing client relationships at Evans May Wealth, Ian focuses on managing the firm’s public and private market investments. This includes Evans May Wealth’s proprietary equity investment strategies – the Evans May Wealth Investing for Growth strategy and the Evans May Wealth Dividend Growth strategy – as well as the many third-party investment strategies that Evans May Wealth employs for its clients. Ian’s background is in investment analytics, due diligence, and investment and transaction structuring. Over the last 13 years, Ian led investment and transaction structuring for over $10 billion in private market transactions.
Ian holds a Juris Doctorate and MBA in Finance from DePaul University. He is a FINRA-registered General Securities Principal, Investment Banking Representative, and SEC registered Investment Advisor.
Ian is a member of the Tabernacle Presbyterian Church. He and his wife, Elizabeth Evans, live in Indianapolis with their son, Jackson.
Jared K. Thorne is a Registered Representative with over 12 years of wealth management experience. He joined the practice in 2014 and serves as the Operations Manager for Evans May Wealth. Jared oversees operations for the team, helping to ensure a family office client service model for every client. Prior to entering the independent space with Evans May Wealth, he worked at Merrill Lynch, Charles Schwab, and Mass Mutual Investors Services. Jared holds an Indiana Life and Health Insurance license and earned a Bachelor’s degree in financial counseling from Purdue University. Jared and his family reside in Noblesville, Indiana.
Madeline G. Speckman is a Registered Representative with over eight years of experience serving clients in the financial services and consulting industries. She joined the practice in 2017 and serves as a Senior Wealth Associate. Madeline oversees client service support and assists with investment management and financial planning. Prior to entering the independent space with Evans May Wealth, she worked at Merrill Lynch. Madeline earned a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and economics from Butler University. She lives in Carmel, Indiana, with her husband, Jordan.
Michelle L. Laycock is a Registered Representative with 20 years of wealth management experience. Michelle joined the practice in 2015 and serves as Wealth Associate. Michelle is responsible for daily coordination with clients, supporting investment management and financial planning, and supporting operations for the team. Prior to entering the independent space with Evans May Wealth, she worked at Merrill Lynch. Michelle is consistently recognized for providing exceptional client service. She lives in Brownsburg, Indiana with her husband, Josh, and their three children.
Hanna joined the Evans May Wealth team as a Registered Wealth Associate in 2019 with over two years of experience in the wealth management industry. She provides client service and investment management support, as well as daily operations and administration. A creative at heart, Hanna earned a Bachelor’s degree in piano performance from Eastern University in Philadelphia. She currently resides in Noblesville with her husband, James, and their four cats, Kitten, Rocket Man, Bennie Jet, and Tiny Dancer.
Nichole is an Administrative Assistant, focusing on supporting the team’s day-to-day operations. She prioritizes the client experience and makes sure that each task at hand is performed accurately. Prior to joining Evans May Wealth, she earned an Associate’s degree and is currently completing her Bachelor’s degree at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI).
Nichole is originally from New Jersey but has grown up around the world due to her family’s military background. She and her husband actively participate in the non-profit Team Red, White and Blue (“RWB”). RWB provides support to veterans transitioning out of the military. Nichole enjoys trying new foods and learning about different cultures by traveling. She lives in Indianapolis, Indiana with her husband, Chance, and their two dogs.
